Water filters made from pine or spruce are porous enough to allow water to pass through but also trap bacteria and harmful particles. Most bacteria are between 1 and 10 micrometers long, and the gaps in the wood tissue are small enough to contain them.

Using the method shown you can produce around 24 liters of pure water in 4 hours.

I would leave out the hose clamp because tightening it too tight results in the pores being squeezed together... the amount of water that can be achieved depends solely on the hose diameter... I would try with a diameter of 3cm
