The Group of Thirty (often abbreviated to G30) is a private, international body composed of leaders in finance and academia. The Group of Thirty was founded in 1978 by Geoffrey Bell at the initiative of the Rockefeller Foundation, which also provided the initial funds for the body. The Rockefeller Foundation is closely linked to the elite US private think tank Council on Foreign Relations. The CFR's legendary War and Peace Studies, which laid the foundations for the "organization" of the world after World War II and ultimately culminated in the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), NATO and the UN, were published in 1939 by the Rockefeller foundation established.
