Free Energy - Revolution of the 21st Century

In the late 19th century, no one was more celebrated by the crème de la crème of New York society than inventor Nikola Tesla. Tesla, a Serb who immigrated to the United States, often held court in his laboratory, where friends like Samuel Clemens better known as Mark Twain - posed for the very first photographs illuminated by gas discharge tubes. With their mouths open in amazement, they stared into the center of the room, where long flashes of sparks burst from Tesla's special high-frequency transformer. Sometimes their host stood in a shower of sparks of high-frequency electricity while a glass tube in his hand glowed with no wires attached to it. And in the hotel dining rooms and private salons, Tesla's creativity and intellect attracted other stars of the cultural scene, including writer Rudyard Kipling, architect Stanford White, pianist Ignace Paderewski, and writer John Muir.

Tesla was a man of contradictions, cool and aloof, but charming. Although he was a loner, he knew how to sell well. Slim and tall, always perfectly dressed, he attracted attention with his aristocratic demeanor and elegance. Its most noticeable feature was its magnetic attraction - a combination of the good looks of a dark type, intense blue eyes and a mysterious aura. The world seemed destined to be at his feet.

By the time Nikola Tesla died in 1943 at the age of eighty-six, his inventions and theories had been largely forgotten and discredited. His plan to supply the world with Free Energy had been shelved. Many of the later energy innovators who admired Tesla were to face the same problems as financial hardship and overpowering opposition that contributed to its decline.
