On the first day of school in an American high school, the class teacher introduces a new classmate to the class, Sakiro Suzuki from Japan.
The hour begins.
The class teacher asks, “Let’s see how you control American cultural history — who said, ‘Give me freedom or give me death’?”
There was silence in the class, only Suzuki raised his hand: “Patrick Henry, 1775 in Philadelphia.”
“Very good, Suzuki. And who said: 'The state is the people, the people must not perish'?"
Suzuki stands up: “Abraham Lincoln, 1863 in Washington.”
The class teacher looks at her students and says: “Shame on you, Suzuki is Japanese and knows American history better than you!”
A quiet voice can be heard from the background: “Kick my ass, you fucking Japanese!”
“Who said that?” shouts the teacher.
Suzuki raises his hand and says without waiting: “General McArthur, at Guadalcanal in 1942, and Lee Iacocca at the Chrysler shareholders meeting in 1982.”
The class is super quiet, only from behind you can hear: “I’m going to puke.”
The teacher shouts: “Who was that?”
Suzuki replies: “George Bush senior to Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka during lunch, Tokyo 1991.”
One of the students stands up and shouts angrily: “Suck me off!”
The teacher angrily: “It’s over now! Who was that?"
Suzuki without batting an eyelid: “Bill Clinton to Monica Lewinski, 1997 in Washington, Oval Office of the White House.”
Another student stands up and shouts, “Suzuki is a piece of shit!”
And Suzuki: “Valentino Rossi in Rio at the Grand Prix motorcycle race in Brazil, 2002.”
The class goes crazy, the teacher faints, the door opens and the principal comes in: “Shit, I’ve never seen such a mess.”
Suzuki: “Angela Merkel to Finance Minister Schäuble when presenting the budget, Berlin 2010.”
